Offers Two Ways to Cook

Can’t decide between a fluffy waffle, cheesy omelet, decadent French toast or eggs & crispy bacon for breakfast? Now you can have it all. The Breakfast Master™ Skillet and Waffle Maker comes equipped with removable grids that are easily interchangeable. Whichever way you decide to cook – waffles or skillet meal – changing the grids for either use is as simple as pressing two buttons – that’s all it takes.

The Skillet with More Cooking Skill
Frying pans and griddles used to be the only equipment for cooking breakfast foods like omelets, bacon and sausage. But the problem is, they conduct heat from the bottom, so you have to flip food over to cook it evenly on both sides. Not so with the Breakfast Master™ Skillet and Waffle Maker. Its nonstick skillet and heated coverlid cook food on the top and the bottom simultaneously for a quick breakfast with a lot less effort.  If you don’t have a recipe handy, try out one of these from our Hamilton Beach Recipes page.

Stuffed French Toast
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) strawberry preserves
  • 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) cream cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) chopped pecans
  • 2 slices cinnamon bread
Preheat skillet grids on medium heat. Beat egg and egg white in medium bowl; set aside. Mix cream cheese and pecans in small bowl; spread on one slice of bread and spread strawberry preserves on remaining slice of bread. Make a sandwich by placing bread slices with filling sides together. Place sandwich in egg mixture for 2 minutes, then turn and soak for an additional 2 minutes. Add bread to skillet, close cover and cook 4 to 5 minutes or until cooked through. Serve with confectioners’ sugar or maple syrup, for savory taste. Serves: 1

Sausage and Potato Omelet
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) sour cream
  • ¼ teaspoon (1.3 ml) Italian seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon (.6 ml) salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon (.6 ml) pepper
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) bulk sausage
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) diced hash browns
  • 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) chopped onion
  • 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) chopped pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat skillet grids on medium heat. Beat eggs, sour cream, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Spray skillet with nonstick cooking spray, add sausage, close cover and cook for 2 minutes (drain fat if necessary). Add potatoes, onion and pepper to sausage mixture. Close cover and cook 2 minutes longer. Pour egg mixture over potato mixture, close cover and cook for 3 additional minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and remove from skillet. Serves: 1

Breakfast Trend on the Rise
Breakfast isn’t called the most important meal of the day without good cause. Jumpstarting your day with a nutritious breakfast has shown to improve mental performance, give you energy and healthy carbohydrates and help reduce mindless snacking. What’s more, where breakfast is prepared and purchased has changed over the years. Instead of traditional breakfast meals, consumers are now having breakfast at all times of the day, reinterpreting breakfast foods in creative ways and cooking at home. “Most consumers make their breakfast at home both during the week (90%) as well as on weekends (84%)” *

  3. Nonstick coating – allows for even cooking of batter as well as easy removal of ready-made waffles
  4. Overflow channel – catches excess batter for avoiding spills and makes cleanup easy

Easy Cleanup
For easy cleanup, wipe outside of unit with a damp, soapy cloth but do not use steel wool, scouring pads, abrasive cleansers or sharp or pointed objects on any part of the unit. Both sets of waffle and skillet grids and pre-measured scoop are all dishwasher safe.

Before pouring batter into the skillet or waffle grid, always spray them with a small amount of nonstick cooking spray. The skillet is recommended to cook any foods that produce grease. Cooking times for skillet or waffle cooking are based on fresh or thawed ingredients. Waffle color and crispiness is determined by the heat of the temperature grids so the higher the temperature, the browner and crisper the waffle. If the cover of the waffle maker doesn’t lift up easily, let your waffle cook a little longer before lifting the lid again. For easy storage, let waffles cool; then pack in an airtight container and store in refrigerator or freezer for later reheating.
