We are seeking qualified candidates for the Product Manager, Commercial opportunity at our Corporate Headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia for the Commercial division.  The Product Manager, Commercial’s primary focus is to develop innovative best-in-class global commercial products that meet or exceed both revenue and margin goals.  This includes finding innovation, product definition, coordinating product development, pricing, business development with our sales team, and promotion support.  Categories include current Hamilton Beach Commercial (HBC) products as well as new category development.   

 Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Creating and implementing a marketing and sales business strategy to accelerate growth of our global food service equipment business.
  • Drive product innovation by targeting unmet user needs.
  • Effective leadership of cross-functional teams to create and develop new products.
  • Develop product marketing communications, working with cross functional commercial digital marketing and creative teams to launch new products more effectively.
  • Partnering with sales team to develop and implement channel and key customer strategies to maximize sell-through of new products. 

Requirements of the position include:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years relevant experience in product management, B2B product management experience preferred.
  • Experience in strategic development and marketing related to new products.
  • Proven record of effectively managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong team leadership, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to travel, up to 10%
  • Strong analytical skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Office

The successful candidate will be a creative, result-driven self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills, and will have demonstrated the ability to work independently and use good judgment.
