Test Kitchen Tips:
- Homemade waffle batter may take longer to cook than packaged pancake and waffle mix. Waffles from a packaged mix are done in about 5 minutes. Made from scratch recipes take a few minutes more.
- Belgian waffle grids hold more batter than a traditional grid. Our recipes give a range of batter to use, for example, 2/3 to 3/4 cup so you can customize the amount to your specific waffle maker.
- Freeze extra waffles and reheat later for a quick on-the-go breakfast! Make a large batch and let extras cool before placing in freezer bags and storing in the freezer. When you're ready to eat, just heat & enjoy.
