Red Velvet Latte
Ingredients
8 ounces brewed coffee
2 tablespoons half and half
1 to 2 tablespoons vanilla simple syrup
1 tablespoon beet juice
½ teaspoon cocoa powder
Directions
- In your coffee maker, brew 8 ounces of strong black coffee
- In a medium bowl, stir together half and half, beet juice, vanilla simple syrup, and cocoa powder.
- Using a milk frother, froth the half and half mixture. If you do not have a milk frother, heat the half and half in the microwave-safe jar for one minute. Shake the jar to "foam" the milk.
- Stir your half and half mixture in with your coffee and top with chocolate shavings, if desired.
Makes: 1 cup
