Filipino Grilled Pork Belly
Ingredients
1.5 lbs pork belly strips
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup Filipino banana ketchup
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp lemon juice
3 cloves garlic minced
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
Serve with garlic fried rice, fried egg and vinegar dipping sauce
Directions
For Indoor Searing Grill:
Mix together the marinade: soy sauce, banana ketchup, oyster sauce, lemon juice, garlic, black pepper and brown sugar.
Pour the marinade over the pork belly, mix well and refrigerate to marinate for at least 3 hours to overnight.
When ready to cook, prepare the grill by heating it up, lid on to 400 degrees.
Grill pork belly in batches, lid on for about 5 minutes on each side then turn the heat to sear to get the char, grill marks.
Enjoy with garlic fried rice and a fried egg!
