  • 2 cups Sweet corn kernels (boiled)
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 Bayleaf
  • 1/4 cup Onions chopped
  • 2 tsp Ginger chopped
  • 2 tsp Garlic chopped
  • 1 Green chilly
  • 2 sprigs Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 2 tsp Curry powder
  • 1 tbsp Flour (all purpose)
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch of Pepper powder
  • 4 cups Water
  • Garnishing with Chopped Spring onions
  • Popped corn for garnish & as accompaniment

  1. In a pan, melt butter, add bay leaf and cumin. Stir and then add green chilly, chopped onions, ginger and garlic. Give a quick stir for a minute. Now add curry leaves, turmeric and curry powder. Quick stir and add corn. Cook the corn for 3 minutes. Sprinkle salt, pepper powder and flour. Cook for a minute and then add water. Bring it to a boil and cook for 3-4 minutes.

  2. Remove from heat now and let it cool down a bit.

  3.  Now remove the bay leaf and pour it into 1.5L jar and using the Manual option press start. Now using the speed dial increase the speed of the machine gradually till it reaches the maximum. Check once the contents are finely pureed, stop the machine and remove the soup and strain it. Once strained pour in a pan and bring to a boil, check for seasoning. Pour in a bowl and garnish with chopped spring onions and pop corns.
