Ingredients

  • 1 large egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 cup plain Panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound fresh chicken tenders

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine egg and water. In another small bowl, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt and black pepper. Add vegetable oil and mix thoroughly to coat crumbs.
  2. Dip the chicken tenders in the egg mixture and roll in crumb mixture until evenly coated. In air fryer basket, arrange tenders in an even layer.
  3. Set air fryer temperature on 400°F. Stopping halfway through cooking time to turn tenders, cook 9 to 11 minutes or until temperature reaches 165°F when tested with a meat thermometer.

Serves: 4

Test Kitchen Tip: If using an oven-style air fryer, cook 15 to 20 minutes or until temperature reaches 165°F when tested with a meat thermometer.
