Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc., is a publicly held leading designer, marketer and distributor of small household and commercial appliances.  Our culture is one of hard work, ethical behavior, and teamwork.  We roll up our sleeves and work hard to create products that have been pleasing customers for over 100 years.  We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Vice President, Global Supply Chain Operations located in Richmond, Virginia.

Reporting into the President and CEO and serving as a member of the Executive Committee, this position is responsible for managing the forecasting, planning, transportation, and execution of trade with our customers and suppliers worth approximately $650 million of top line sales including inventory purchases, transportation spend, duties and tariffs, and is responsible for working capital management of the inventory.

Responsibilities of the Position Include:

  • Develop, implement, and manage global supply chain operations and logistics execution systems, strategies, and processes.
  • Ensure the Company is positioned to service global customer needs related to omni-channel sales.
  • Strategically develop and manage all customer supply chain requests/orders and all global supply chain forecasting, planning and transportation activities including:
    • Customer replenishment programs
    • Sales demand planning
    • Forecasting
    • Production planning
    • Purchasing sourced products
    • Global Supply Chain Logistics
    • Import and export trade compliance strategies
    • Management of global distribution centers and 3PLs

Requirements of the Position Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related discipline; MBA or master’s degree in a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience managing geographically diverse supply chain operations including Distribution Centers, 3PL and transportation providers; China sourcing, ecommerce (vague); and process improvement experience. Six Sigma black belt and APICS (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD) certifications are preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills including demonstrated success in developing supply chain staff.
  • Expertise in business negotiations, globally interacting with internal and external executives including management of Customs brokerage and transportation and/or global freight forwarding service providers.
  • Exceptional computer skills are required; experience working with warehouse management systems is required; working knowledge of High Jump is desired.
