We are seeking qualified candidates for a Technology Vendor Relationship Specialist at our Corporate Headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia. Responsibilities of this tactical role include establishing and maintaining the organization’s relationships with technology vendors, contractors, and other service providers. This position is hybrid.

Responsibilities of the position include:.

  • Tactically manage all IT vendor activities, including the billing process and budget management along with ensuring there is sufficient vendor support as needed for service capability. s.
  • Establish and maintain productive and positive relationships with vendors, encouraging two-way communication, manage vendor inquiries and requests, and act as an intermediary as required.
  • Ensure vendors are complying with agreements and business stakeholders are supported.
  • Support IT leadership team with researching/evaluating vendor sources leading to new business opportunities with service providers.
  • Ensure contracts are maintained and extended in a timely manner. . Support delivery managers in negotiations of vendor contract renewals and changes to existing agreements well in advance of deadlines.
  • Partnering with IT leadership team, establish annual budget objectives and targets, revisions of budget model, budget committee reviews, and approvals.Perform cost analysis and implement cost controls. Identify and execute cost savings and efficiency opportunities.

Requirements of the position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or related field or a combination of education and equivalent relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Vendor Management including budget analysis and planning for short/long range financial planning.
  • Hands-on knowledge of vendor management software and solutions.
  • Relevant and demonstratable experience managing relationships with business and external stakeholders.
