We are seeking qualified candidates for a Reliability & Test Engineer opportunity at our Corporate Headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia.  The Reliability & Test Engineer opportunity will have the opportunity to work with some of the best product teams in our industry.  Hamilton Beach’s product teams are responsible for developing innovative products from ideation through to launch of the product.

Responsibilities of the position include:

• Assist product design/development teams in the evaluation and development of new products and changes to existing products
• Test and evaluate product designs for safety, reliability, and performance
• Develop test plans, test procedures and test fixtures to validate product and component designs
• Complete necessary documentation to finalize the results of validation test programs

Requirements of the position include:

• BSME or BSEE required
• Working knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical design
• Effective communication skills
• Technical writing skills
• PLC programming experience is preferred
• Proficiency with CAD, PLC programming and the ability to read mechanical drawings & electrical schematics is desired.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and arrive at calculated decisions promptly.
