We are seeking qualified candidates for an Inventory Specialist opportunity at our Southern Pines, North Carolina Returns Center location.  With direction from the Warehouse Manager, the Inventory Specialist will assist on the overall operations of the Parts Department to maintain customer satisfaction and achieve departmental goals and objectives. Analyze inventory in domestic and global warehouse locations to maintain stock.  Execute inventory transactions for the Southern Pines Warehouse.  Responsible for daily cycle counting functions.

Responsibilities of the position include:  

  • Perform cycle count analysis and address any discrepancies, to ensure that the correct decisions are being made with regards to the inventory in the ERP and planning system.
  • Be able to adjust purchase orders due to business needs.
  • Generate Quarterly Inventory Reports to capture inventory and sales information which will be used to identify excess inventory.
  • Perform receiving functions on incoming shipments to ensure that inventory is properly brought into the system and available for customer order.
  • Make necessary changes on part information in the ERP and Logility Planning system.
  • Manage out bound order queue for carrier accuracy. Be able to make any changes for consolidations according to customer request, and schedule pickups as needed.
  • Be able to create commercial invoices, MSO’s, final destination labels, and system transactions to fulfill document requirements for orders outside of the ERP system.
  • Operate shipping system (Pitney Bowes/USPS/UPS/Sure Post/ UPS World Ship/FedEx/DHL) to ensure customer orders are processed and shipped on the same day.
  • Responsible to prepare and maintain daily logs for tracking of Parts Department metrics.
  • Generate, create, and process Transfer Orders according to the proper warehouse, to ensure customer orders are fulfilled in our main DC and Global Warehouses.
  • Will need to comply with record keeping requirements and month end data by recording and filing logs and correspondence.
  • Assist warehouse personnel in order fulfillment operations as needed in order to ensure that orders are processed in a timely manner.
  • Perform housekeeping and organization tasks in the office area and shop floor areas to maintain an organized and clear work environment.

Requirements of the Position Include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Analytical and reasoning skills to support operations including hands on support when required.
  • Experience with shipping systems such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL’s, Full Truck Loads and more.
  • Warehouse, Logistics, Inventory, Receiving and Ecommerce Order Fulfillment Operations, and Warehouse Management System Experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Forklift Experience and Team Lead Experience is preferred but not required.
