We are seeking qualified candidates for a part-time (25 – 30 hours per week) HR Generalist opportunity at our sales & marketing office in Markham, Ontario.  This role will act as the HR business partner supporting HBB’s sales & marketing office in Markham and our distribution center in Belleville.

 Responsibilities of the position include:  

  • Working with Corporate HR, act as HR Business Partner to facilitate and conduct HR related duties to support both Canada locations including recruiting/onboarding; benefits set up and orientation; HR compliance, etc.
  • Ensure company processes and procedures are followed to support compliance
  • Manage HR data and employee records
  • Provide support for LOA related procedures and considerations
  • Promote HBB health & wellness; employee recognition; and employee engagement initiatives locally
  • Provide employee relations support to management leadership team

Requirements of the position include:  

  • 4-year degree in HR management or equivalent education and experience
  • 5-7 years of experience working as an HR Generalist with experience in a variety of HR functions 
  • Must have full cycle recruiting experience including strong online skills; ADP Workforce Now, Recruiting and LinkedIn experience are highly desirable   
  • Must have demonstrated work history that supports the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organization and presentation skills are required
  • Work experience must include the ability to work, and provide leadership to support a collaborative team environment
  • Strong MS Office demonstrated skills are required

The successful candidate will work 25 – 30 hours per week and must be willing to spend several days per month at HBB’s distribution center in Belleville.
