We are seeking qualified candidates for a Financial Analyst - Marketing opportunity at our Corporate Headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia supporting the US Consumer, Canada, Latin America (LATAM), and Commercial Divisions.  The Financial Analyst’s primary focus is to provide business unit leaders across the company with recurring and ad hoc financial reports, advice and recommendations to help optimize financial results.  Additionally, they will maintain accurate current and forward-looking product costs and various related quote templates to help plan and forecast existing business and to quote new opportunities.  The candidate will have ownership of a number of business processes and will be integral in helping the Marketing & Sales team transition from existing business systems and processes to a new system.

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports for each Business Unit
  • Manage and maintain various systems (processes) to support product life cycle management and identify/implement process improvements
  • Maintain Notes databases for US Consumer, Commercial Marketing, and Sales groups, including Item Look-up Tables, Base Price List and sales Quotes
  • Maintain forward-looking Product Costs for use in Price Quote worksheets and Financial Planning processes
  • Support Finance department in creation of short and long term financial revenue and expense plans
  • Maintain data integrity in various Enterprise systems 
  • Subject Matter Expert for Product Marketing team during planning and implementation of new business and portfolio management systems

Requirements of the position include:

  • Finance degree or equivalent experience; MBA desired
  • Advanced analytical skills with minimum of 5 years of Analytical Support experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and with 5 years minimum experience required including Pivot table and VLookup functions
  • Strong project management/process skills required
  • Minimum of 5 years direct experience with enterprise business systems.  AS400 Focus and Epicor experience a plus
  • Knowledge and direct Database experience working with large data sets in databases.  Direct Cognos and Lotus Notes experience a plus
  • Business acumen and judgment required to support development of data-driven business cases

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is adept at working independently or in a team.  The candidate must have the proven ability to analyze data, review information derived from a variety of sources, and will be knowledgeable of the software, tools, and technology they use for processing data.  Further, they must also be someone skilled at both written and oral communication.  A successful incumbent will be attuned to small changes in all of the streams of data they access (detail-oriented), and who is confident in making sound decisions on what actions to take; they need to be adept at giving recommendations to others.
