We are seeking well-qualified candidates with progressively increasing business and people leadership responsibilities to work in a fast-paced environment as a Director of Product Marketing at our Corporate Headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia.  Primary responsibilities include leading a team of Product Marketing professionals focused on profitable revenue growth and supporting all aspect of new product development and portfolio management.

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Inspire, lead and develop a high-performing team of talented and hard-working product marketers to exceed business goals and objectives
  • Responsible for Beverage Team P/L
  • Lead product roadmap development and help manage a highly rated and consumer preferred portfolio of products, including business case development, new product launch planning, portfolio profitability, and portfolio rationalization decisions.
  • Lead development and execution of 3-year strategic plans for assigned categories and teams
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Business Development to provide sell-in support, support new product launches, help drive sales performance of existing placements, and make recommendations to maximize business results.
  • Support a diverse corporate brand portfolio with new product development, consumer messaging, sell-in support, and by ensuring product brand compliance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross functional team members to prioritize projects, clear roadblocks, and help teams stay on schedule and meet objectives
  • Help maintain and support strong relationships with various business and brand partners
  • Manage budgets, business processes, recruitment, performance management, and other initiatives as assigned

Requirements of the position include:

  • Marketing or equivalent undergraduate degree, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years of product marketing experience with significant consumer insight and consumer communication experience
  • Must have an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset with a proven track record of developing business strategies that exceed business growth objectives
  • Must have strong leadership and people management skills with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (verbal/written), and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and use good judgment
  • Possess strong analytical skills and exhibits attention to detail; must be able to analyze financial information and other relevant business metrics
  • Highly proficient in using PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with Product Portfolio Lifecycle Management, P/L ownership and budgeting
