We are seeking qualified candidates for an Accounts Payable Specialist opportunity at our Corporate Headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia.  The Accounts Payable Specialist will process a high volume of AP invoices in our ERP system (Epicor), apply and disperse freight and duty invoices in Epicor, assist with reviewing sourced supplier invoices and resolving 3-way match differences to enable the processing of supplier invoices.  The Accounts Payable Specialist will also provide audit assistance and support other AP-related clerical functions such as document management.

Responsibilities of the position include: 

  • Receives and processes vendor invoices
  • Processes and codes invoices with account numbers
  • Supports the senior accounts payable specialist and manager with other assigned AP tasks
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents

Requirements of the position include: 

  • High school diploma, or equivalent education; a bachelor’s degree is desirable
  • Demonstrated abilities in math and accounting skills, experience working in Accounts Payable is desirable
  • Experience managing vendor master files and customer relationships
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications, including high proficiency in Excel are required; experience working with an ERP system is highly desirable
