Cheddar Loaf for 1.5-lb. Breadmaker

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter OR vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp nonfat dry milk
  • 1/3 cup grated cheddar
  • 3 1/4 cups American bread flour OR 2 1/4 cups Canadian bread flour
  • 3 tsp bread machine yeast

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in the breadmaker pan in order listed.
  2. Choose the Basic Bread Cycle, 1.5 pound loaf for size of bread and medium for crust color. Press Start.
  3. When done, remove bread from breadmaker and carefully remove kneading paddle from bottom of loaf.
  4. Let cool 10 minutes before slicing with a bread knife.
